The Apollo Has Landed — Peggy Stebbins Nelson and Nikki Nelson-Crabbe

According to Robert Graves (THE WHITE GODDESS),

Apollo (often known as the sun god) is the male principle, the opposite pole of poetry, which is the lunar, female principle. The “Eagle” that landed
on the moon may construed as a male extension of “The Apollo” by which it was borne.
A more typical Greek view of Apollo was that he incorporated the female principle by his relationship with
his twin sister Artemis and by being the god of music, prophesy and poetry.  Nevertheless, the Oracle of Delphi, when communicating directly with Apollo, was always a woman.
